This weekend started out like they all should.

That, my friends, is a Heart of Darkness.

Will and I headed out last night and had a few drinks before getting dinner.

His and Hers.

While we definitely have similar tastes, Will usually opts for a lighter beer than me. They were both good but mine had a little bit more of kick for sure. 7.5% will get anyone’s evening off to a good start.

We headed over to TuTu Tango for food, only a few feet away in the shopping center. We haven’t been back since the refused to let us take our leftover pizza home because it was some silly eat-in deal that was not advertised as such. But we were feeling forgiving so we gave it another try.

Veggie sandwich for me.

Apparently that beer hindered my photography skills.

Will had wings but they didn’t arrive until after I was finished eating so we left this restaurant for the second time less than impressed. We are very picky restaurant critics.

We followed that with some candy which was a BAD idea. I spent the rest of the night with a terrible stomach ache. Fell asleep at 9:30. #fail

This morning was supposed to be my long run but I just wasn’t feeling it. Even after my new favorite breakfast, all
I really wanted to do was go back to sleep.

Some frozen berries minimally defrosted which I cover with a 1/2 cup of oats, vanilla rice milk, chia seeds, a banana and raisins.

I didn’t think it would be this good but it’s the perfect homemade cereal. I’m hooked!

Since I decided to skip my run until tomorrow, we dove into another project.

The fake house. Will’s dad, also our landlord, will be in town next weekend and we have a lot of tidying to do. Will attacked the front yard and I spent three hours on the kitchen. Definitely a work out in itself!

We’re gonna spend the evening catching up on reruns of The Daily Show. Here’s hoping the rain holds off long enough for me to log eight miles tomorrow.
